Jewlery Chests

The need was for a large box to hold jewelry. The result became this small chest made of Black Cherry and Purpleheart an exotic wood from South America. It has 5 drawers lined with black flocking.  On the inside,  the raised panel door is equipped with five solid brass hooks for holding chains or pendants.

-the finish consists of three coats of danish oil that contains no addititives

-oil finish penetrates the wood providing a durable, water-resistant satin sheen

-drawers include solid walnut dividers with a soft high-quality lining at bottom (flocking) applied using a special process

- drawer pulls and handles are handcrafted from solid Ash

-top of chest is made of solid Walnut, with a solid Ash contour designed with a beveled edge. This makes it a useful tray when removing jewlery and personal items.
